These are wetland birds, very shy and using the tall graases and weeds as their hiding places. Among the whole lot, the Yellow Bittern normally gathers as colony is one that is most frequently spotted foraging on open wetlands areas. The Cinnamon Bitterns found mostly in rice fields are seen in low level flight over the tall rice stalks. |
